Woody Allen held a press conference on Monday to promote his new film which starts shooting on July 9th. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz which Allen describes as "a love letter to Barcelona and from Barcelona to the world." Spain is really in love with the prolific filmaker, in Oviedo they erected a bronze statue of the man in one of their parks.
According to imdb.com, in addition to Barcelona, Woody was looking for locations in Oviedo and in the Asturias. He was spotted around Barcelona at Sagrada Familia, Barrio Gotic, the Barcelona Cathedral, and some high end shops on Passeig de Gràcia scouting locations for his film. Woody is notorious for using people off the streets as extras and rumor has it he's staying at the Hotel Arts, if you see him try to refrain from screaming 'These pretzels are making me thirsty!' I'm sure he's heard it before.
